Developers of Windows 7 claim that the next Windows Operating System is definitely worth the wait. Microsoft began working with people who use the Windows Operating System at home and in their office to better target consumers' wants and needs.

They are also opening Beta testing in the near future, so that users may bring developer's attention to problems that they encounter before the official release of the software. Many improvements are being made according to past problems that customers have experienced. New features are also being added, including improved boot performance, handwriting recognition, and support for virtual hard disks.

Everyday tasks are being made easier, such as browsing the web or writing a simple text document. Microsoft claims that they are working to allow users to perform actions on their computers that were impossible before. They ensure that Windows 7 will work on any computer by the time the development is finished.

Programs that worked with Windows Vista will also work with Windows 7, so there will be no need to wait for updates on any software. With more than one billion customers around the world, Microsoft Windows is the most popular software product of today.

The name of the next operating system caused some confusion amongst users because Microsoft did release more than just seven operating systems. The 7 in Windows 7 is referring to an internal numbering and not the amount of products under the Windows flag.

Windows 7 will see improvements in all areas over previous versions of Windows. Microsoft is focusing on reliability, compatibility and usability and only a few new features like the better touch support. Major changes have been made to the design and usability of the Windows Taskbar and desktop.

Developers hope to release Windows 7 for Beta testing in mid December. After consumers and programmers test the reliability and stability of the Operating System, Microsoft plans to release the software for the general public.

The Operating System seems promising as development furthers. With claims of past problems being fixed, as well as improvements made and new capabilities added, Windows 7 is likely to be the best Microsoft product yet.
